NEWLY formed White Lion AC fished a 'Bateson's Paints' aggregate match on Lakeside Fisheries at Heskin, but an off-day put paid to decent sport with only five out of 25 catching.
Steve Sargeant decided to fish the margin on the pole and found enough carp to win with 7lbs.-3ozs. Willie Adamson went further out and gained second place despite catching only 3lbs.-9ozs. Dave McMinn made third with 1lbs.-10ozs and fourth was Gerry Atherton with 1lbs.-5ozs.
