BUSINESS partners Peter Maplesden and Jean Price have received a special award from their national franchise group.
They launched their 24-hour Drain Doctor plumbing business in Bolton in 1998 with one van. They expanded into Manchester North in May, 2001, and today it is a business with a workforce of 11 which is on course for a £750,000 turnover.
The award -- for significant growth by an established franchise -- was presented in memory of Drain Doctor company director Mike Solomons, who died 18 months ago.
The company was launched in 1993 and now operates over 65 franchise areas.
