CHORLEY manager Mark Molyneaux is urging his side to treat their last four games as cup ties.

The Magpies are still in with a chance of sneaking into the play-off places as sixth-placed Matlock and fifth-placed Belper, who are four points ahead of Chorley, have to play each other twice before the end of the season.

Chorley entertain North Ferriby United tomorrow and will have to keep hotshots Gavin Knight and Vill Powell quiet if they want a repeat of their 3-1 win earlier in the season.

But Molyneaux is confident his defence will be able to handle two of the UniBond First Division's leading goalscorers.

"Their two forwards are very dangerous but our back four have been doing a great job for us all season," he said.

"But we know we can beat them because we played exceptionally at their place earlier in the season and we have to make sure we do that again because we want to stay in with a chance of making the play-offs.

"Some of the teams above us have got a tough run-in but we can't worry about them. We've just got to concentrate on what we do.

"If we keep winning and they slip up and give us a chance of making the play-offs then great.

"But if the teams above us win all of their remaining games and we miss out then we can't have any complaints.

"They will have deserved to have finished higher than us and we will look back on where we've gone wrong and put it right for next season.

"We're improving with every game but we don't have a divine right to go up.

"I just want us to keep going in the right direction."

The Magpies' chief expects to have central midfielder Joe Murray (ankle) and Darren Emmett (groin) available for selection after injuries.

Molyneaux added: "Joe will be a big boost to our squad because he's different class.

"His play, passing and movement is excellent. He's got the engine of a Rolls Royce!"
