THE Deansgate, Bolton branch of the Skipton Building Society is asking customers to forget the Easter eggs this year.

They are being urged to donate the cash they would have spent to Age Concern.

Bolton is one of 80 branches throughout the country taking part in the national fund-raising exercise tied-in with the Society's 150th birthday this year.

Branch manager Joan Houghton said: "The team is very pleased to be involved in such a worthwhile project.

"No amount is too small and I would like to encourage everyone to come down to the branch this Easter to shed the pounds."

Money raised from the appeal will be used to fund initiatives such as the running of day centres, lunch clubs and home visits.
