DIRECTOR of Blackpool Pleasure Beach Mrs Lillian Thompson and legendary footballer Jimmy Armfield are to be honoured by Blackpool Council today.
The pair will be the first people to receive the Freedom of the Borough for more than 10 years. And Mrs Thompson -- who turned 100 earlier this year -- will be the first woman ever to be given the award.
