CHILDREN as young as four verbally and physically abuse their teachers on a day-today basis in the North-west, a teachers' union has revealed.
Teachers at more than 300 schools in the region recorded instances of abuse.
Eamonn O'Kane of the Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers said his members faced abuse "way beyond" what was acceptable.
