A JOGGER attacked by a gang of youths is in a critical condition.
The man, aged 47, was attacked by 10 teenagers in Huyton, Merseyside.
He was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries.
Detective Chief Inspector Ray Galloway, of Merseyside Police, said the attack appeared to have been unprovoked.
He said: "This incident appears to be a totally motiveless assault on a family man out on an evening jog.
"This area does not normally suffer from disruptive behaviour by youths and therefore the attack is very much out of the ordinary."
