BLACKPOOL has the highest divorce rate in Britain, new research reveals.
A total of 15,557 people in the resort -- 15.2 per cent of its population -- are either divorced or separated, according to the Office for National Statistics.
Five of the top 10 hotspots in the study -- the first of its kind -- of divorce and separation in England and Wales turned out to be coastal towns.
