Sad to hear that Chas Hooper's brave attempt to turn the Pilkington Arms in Derby Street, Bolton, into a jazz pub has ended in disaster and that he has abandoned the project, which included a drums showroom over the pub premises.
Chas has returned to his original base in Belthorn, near Blackburn. He deserved much better than he got in Bolton but is resilient enough to bounce back from a very costly and distressing experience.
