A 17-YEAR-old private is to appear in court charged with attempted murder after a soldier was attacked and left with a pickaxe embedded in his head.
Lance Corporal Konrad Bisping, aged 26, of the 1st Lancashire Regiment, is in a critical condition in a Southampton hospital.
The incident happened during a training exercise on Salisbury Plain on Tuesday.
The 17-year-old -- who is from the same regiment -- is due to appear at North Wiltshire Magistrates Court.
