A NEW clinic where GPs will be able to carry out minor surgery and reduce hospital waiting lists is opening.
The Willows Care Centre in Salford will accept patients who would normally be referred to a hospital surgeon for minor operations.
Salford Primary Care Trust says a trial saw minor surgery waiting lists at Hope Hospital cut by seven per cent.
The Willows Centre is expected to carry out an estimated 920 operations in its first year.
