THE Bolton Sunday League was only able to stage one match at the weekend due to frozen pitches.
And further postponements could force the league into re-scheduling the fixture progamme.
League games will take priority which means that any extension to the season because of rearranged games could threaten the divisional cups competition.
League officials are expecting the season to continue until some time after its scheduled completion and their annual presentation night has already been moved back from May until the following month.
The league has stressed that at the moment it is business as usual and postponed games will be rearranged.
But any deterioration in the weather leading to more games being called off could change that.
In the only game to survive the week's frost it was a case of green for go for two local rivals.
Greenfield and Greenwood met in a division one game with the honours ending even in a 2-2 draw.
Les Brown and a John Broad penalty made up Greenfield's score with Nick Lee and Matt Wolfenden replying for Greenwood.
