The show is Puss In Boots and will be performed at Astley Bridge Theatre Church, Seymour Road, Bolton from January 22 to 25 including a Saturday matinee performance.

The cast includes 13 adults and 40 children.

And this version will have a slightly different slant . . .it is set in Amsterdam. As such characters include King Bulbo, Queen Tulip, Lord Edam and Princess Daffodil.

Staging has been designed by Glyn Neary, and is being made by the society's own in-house stage crew, who are particularly hard at work making Frankenstein's magical machine for the laboratory scene.

The majority of costumes are being made by the society's own members -- particularly Madge Wardle and Sue Foster -- who are busy creating Dutch style costumes.

Denise Neary, a member of the society for almost 40 years, choreographed last year's pantomime and continues in the role this year.

Paul Cohen a veteran himself of 17 pantomimes, is directing.

The show is billed as being for children aged three to 93!
