A RARE bird of prey is flocking to nest in parts of the region.
Only 11 pairs of Hen Harriers attempted to nest across the country last year -- six of those pairs were in Lancashire's Forest of Bowland.
Government conservation agency English Nature is running a special harrier protection programme.
Field ecologist Steven Murphy says the success in Bowland is mainly down to the positive attitudes of landowners and gamekeepers.
