SHAKERS boss Andy Preece is desperate to fulfill tomorrow night's re-arranged fixture with Swansea and lift Bury immediately back into the top three writes Chris Hall

His side dropped out of the automatic promotion places after Scunthorpe and Torquay took advantage of Bury's postponed clash in the valleys.

The match, which was frozen off on Saturday, has been re-arranged for tomorrow night with a 7.45pm kick-off.

With Vetch Field notoriously vulnerable to bad weather, a pitch inspection may be necessary again but Preece insists he wants the game to go ahead.

"As long as there's no danger to the players then I will be happy to play," he said. "We don't want the game to be called off and us lose our position in the league. We have had a nice break since the New Year game but now we are desperate to get back out there.

"We will all have come across these conditions in our career and all we can do is draw from that. You can't prepare for conditions like that."

Preece has a fully fit squad to choose from but will still have a hole to fill at left back, with Jamie Stuart and Colin Woodthorpe both serving one-match suspensions.

Stuart picked up his ban after being sent off at Shrewsbury on Boxing Day, while Woodthorpe was handed his fifth yellow card of the season in the same game.
