TRANSPORT bosses in Greater Manchester have announced that £3.2 million has been allocated to link Bury, Bolton, Rochdale and Littleborough in a northern orbital bus scheme.
It is one of two bus corridor schemes which come under the northern orbital plan. The cash is part of the Government's £77.1 million funding package for the county's Local Transport Plan.
The scheme covers the area surrounding the M60 in the north of the county. The first links Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Littleborough along the A58. With the second scheme, it will help to improve the public transport network around the M60.
