RETAINING trained teachers is the biggest challenge facing schools, teachers in the region are to be told.
Carol Adams, Chief Executive of the General Teaching Council, is to deliver this message to the North of England Education Conference in Warrington.
Ms Adams will be drawing on data from 70,000 GTC members who responded to a MORI designed questionnaire.
The poll, due to be published in full in The Guardian on January 14, says one in 20 teachers will quit in the next five years.
