THE Bolton branch of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds hosts a slide show as a taster for a planned day out.
Len Blacow will talk about the natural history of Marton Mere, a wildlife haven in Blackpool on Thursday, January 9, 7.30pm, at Smithills School. Non-members are welcome.
The trip to visit the Mere follows on January 19, meeting at Lawson Road car park near Stanley Park, Blackpool, at 9.30am.
