AFTER watching the performance against Leeds, it looks very much as if Bolton Wanderers could be playing First Division football next season, unless something dramatic happens between now and the end of the campaign.

We played some wonderful football against Chelsea and Blackburn Rovers and came away with a point, but everything seems to be going against us at the moment.

Why on earth can't the team show some consistency and a bit more grit and determination? I am sure that in the end this will pay off.

I don't mind if they lose if they have at least made an effort but this seems to be sadly lacking at the moment. They are just 11 players wearing Bolton shirts and not 11 who should be playing as a team and working for each other. No one seems to know what the others are supposed to be doing.

We need another John McGinlay or another Andy Walker, who played their hearts out for Bolton Wanderers. Perhaps we could tempt them out of retirement and they can show the other players just what is required.

The only players who are showing any commitment apart from Youri and Jay Jay are the over 30s, who play for the pride of the club and not the thousands of pounds which they are being paid.

So come on Sam, please do something quick while there is still approximately half of the season left to save our team from relegation.
