SAM again bemoaned the Wanderers' bad luck after the game against Leeds.
I suggest it is less to do with luck but is self-inflicted by bad defending.
David Mills was allowed to run through unchallenged before he unleashed his shot for the first goal and the second goal was worthy of a Laurel and Hardy film. Only the third goal, the Jason Wilcox screamer, could be excused.
It has been obvious all season that the defence lacks pace and is statuesque. In fact, Sir Benjamin Dobson on his plinth in the Town Hall Square would make more defensive impact than the present formation.
On Monday only two players emerged with any credit - Henrik Pederson, who worked hard, and especially Per Frandsen, who worked his socks off. Oh, for eleven men like Per.
I just hope that Sam has new signings lined up when the transfer window re-opens to try to revive our fortunes.
