NAT Lofthouse spoke today of his pride in being among the first 11 players inducted into the Wanderers' Hall of Fame.
"Now that we are coming into our 125th anniversary season, it is fitting that the club have come up with this excellent idea," said the legendary Lion of Vienna.
"It is a great honour for me and I'm delighted to be one of the 11 initally selected.
"And it's also nice to see some of my former team-mates honoured - great guys like Eddie Hopkinson, Roy Hartle, Bryan Edwards and Dougie Holden."
Sam Allardyce, who played alongside other honoured old stars Warwick Rimmer, Roy Greaves and Paul Jones, said: "Since I came to Bolton as a 15 year-old, I have known that this town and its people have a great passion for their football club. That love has never wavered and I'm very pleased the football club has recognised the achievements of its players in this manner."
