ATTENTION to the proposed development on Blackburn Road, between Stonyhurst Avenue and Sweetloves Lane was drawn by J Moorhouse.
We wholeheatedly agree with his concerns, and so should all other residents in the area.
The three blocks of apartments, each three storeys high, fronting Blackburn Road, will generate high occupancy unsuitable for the small area involved.
The number of cars using the site will, in all probability, be far in excess of the 30 parking spaces available within the site, thus causing parking problems on Stonyhurst Avenue and Blackburn Road.
The proposed access/exit to the site is from Stonyhurst Avenue, which will cause major problems when attempting to join traffic on Blackburn Road, which is the busiest road in Bolton. We would point out that this is already difficult and hazardous.
The development is totally out of keeping with the area and can only add to the traffic problems. We trust that the Planning Committee, when examining the plans, will come to the same conclusion and reject the scheme entirely.
