LAST week was the time for members of Radcliffe Athletic Club to congratulate the winners of their annual club championship, as they held their senior Presentation Evening.

Eileen Royle and Alec Steele won the two Over 50 categories in the road championship, while O45s ace Adrian Harris once again took the Norman Schofield Trophy.

David Bartlett won the senior section, with Mark Emmett a deserving winner of the O40s group.

Alan Sumner scooped the O55s prize, while club chairman Tom West was a popular winner of the O60s title. Glenda Garry took the honours among the O/40 ladies.

Their were five runners who qualified in the fell championship, where Mike Howard was the star man, regularly finishing in a high position.

Brian Booth comfortably took the O45s prize, while Arthur Warren was rewarded with the O50s section.

The final presentation, the President's Shield, awarded for the best contribution to Radcliffe AC. This year it was awarded to Mark Emmett in recognition of his sterling efforts in dealing with club membership.
