ALL Bolton music Service's youth concert bands showcased their talents this week in a special Christmas concert and presentation evening at the Reebok Stadium.

Talented youngsters aged from four years to teenagers took part in the concert at the football stadium's Lion of Vienna Suite.

The event at the home of Bolton Wanderers Football Club showed the young musicians were more than a match for anyone.

A total of eight ensembles performed, highlighting the talents of dozens of youngsters playing a variety of instruments.

A varied programme of music was performed by the Bolton Music Service pupils.

Mayor of Bolton, Cllr John Walsh attended the event and in addition to enjoying the entertainment on show, he made a series of presentations to the youngsters.

Awards were handed out to youngsters in recognition of their musicianship, endeavour and commitment by Cllr Walsh.

The Mayor is pictured alongside Keith Sagar, head of Bolton Music Service (Instrumental), presenting the joint winners of the Young Percussionist of the Year award with their prizes.
