PUPILS from Turton and Smithills high schools will be competing in the finals of a competition designed to promote good work in the community and media literacy.
The teams of teenagers were due to visit Frodsham in Cheshire to compete against schools from Preston, Oldham and Salford.
Pupils from Turton Arts Media College have done their bit for the community by producing a promotional video for Bolton Hospice while the Smithills students worked with DBBC Radio in Bolton.
All the pupils had taken part in an Active Citizenship Network project which promotes partnerships between secondary schools and local voluntary organisations.
