BOLTON Evening News readers feel that the Wanderers decision to ban Simon Edwards for life was harsh.
While many accepted Wanderers had to take some form of action after Edwards had run on to the pitch to complain to referee Neale Barry after the official had played over the four minutes of added time, they thought the ban was excessive.
We received a bundle of letters on the subject, several of which were published in Saturday's Bolton Evening News.
We then asked readers through our website, wwwthisisbolton.co.uk to vote on whether Simon Edwards should have received such a ban.
Of the 156 readers who responded, 135 said no, while 21 agreed with the decision.
