THIS site is all about us wrinklies fighting back. It has been described as "irreverent, witty and feisty".
The statement of intent, or whatever you want to call it, runs thus: "For far too long the world wide web has been the domain of callow youth. Now it is time for the Over Fifties to fight back and claim their rightful status in cyberspace."
If you are under 50, keep out. It will only make you wish you were older.
A GOVERNMENT sponsored site (oh, hooray) which contains pages about the firefighters' strike and how to deal with it, advice on fire safety, Ministerial statements -- oh good, that will sort us all out.
There are also lots of links to Government sites, for when you want to make sure your complaint goes all the way, and lots of information on terrorism and natural disasters and how the Government intends to cope. Hmmm.
NEWS, reviews on all sorts of computer games for all the "boxes" and for PCs.
Plenty of on-line games as well, so make sure you have broadband, or can afford your phone bill, before you log on.
I never fail to be amazed at the private sites some people put together.
All about specs, pince nez, monocles etc - and all a private site from a guy who just collects antique spectacles.
It is nicely put together and interesting to navigate around.
