Horwich Carnival committee is already planning ahead for 2003.
Organisers hope that the Horwich RMI Harriers fell race will be revived as a start to the carnival weekend.
The carnival will run on June 20, 21 and 22, with the parade taking place at 1pm on Sunday, June 22.
The cycle races around the streets of Horwich were a big success this year and are being planned again by Horwich Cycling Club.
