FORMER Bury, Swansea and West Ham keeper Lee Bracey will make his debut for Chorley at Lincoln United tomorrow - if the game goes ahead.

The 34-year-old, who lives in Burnley, says he feels like he has been at Victory Park for 'ages' without playing a game.

His £4,000 move from Ossett Town was completed a fortnight ago and the only game he could have played in was called off - the other two were cup ties he wasn't eligible for.

But tomorrow's UniBond first division trip to Lincoln provides the perfect opportunity for Bracey to replace manager Mark Molyneaux in goal.

"The move was on-off for about five weeks so it feels like I have been a Chorley player for ages without playing," said Bracey, who came to the attention of Chorley when they approached Ossett about former Magpie Danny Mills.

"They wanted Danny Mills and the club asked if they wanted me too."

Bracey ended up at Ossett after meeting an old friend, who was involved at the UniBond first division club, in the summer. He asked me if I wanted to go there and play a couple of games. I was toying with the idea of staying pro or applying for the police so I agreed."

After signing the player for nothing, Ossett made £4,000 out of the deal, but Bracey says they wanted more.

"They kept turning down offers and they think they should have got more money.

"At one stage I was even prepared to throw in my signing on fee to get the move completed."

CHORLEY Football Club are launching a new fund-raising initiative, linked to the National Lottery, to raise money for their youth development programme.

The VWD e-lottery costs £5 per person per week, making up a syndicate that gives 88 chances to win every week.

The sceme is launched on Saturday November 23, at the match at home to Farsley Celtic, when the club will be giving away an XBox plus the Championship Manager game.
