"My mouth dropped when I was handed a Bolton Evening News dated October 28 by my brother, containing a photograph in Looking Back of a class from St Simon & Jude's School, with myself plonk in the middle of it. Oh, happy days!
"My brother and I both attended this school from 4 years of age. He went on to Bolton County Grammar, and I to the Commercial Department at Bolton Technical College with some of the girls in the photograph.
"Many memories came flooding back for me to realise how many happy hours were spent at St Simon & Jude's. I would love to hear from anyone who shares them. It was a fantastic school, and I am sure most pupils attending at that time would agree that Mr Harry Pilling (headmaster) and his staff were the people who made it so."
