PENSIONERS are being invited to have their electric blankets safety tested at a special event organised by Age Concern.
The blankets will be checked by an expert who the charity have brought in especially for the event between 9am and 4.30pm on Wednesday (November 13) at their headquarters in Ashburner Street, Bolton.
Only pensioners who have made an appointment will be allowed to have their blankets checked and if a blanket proves to be defective, the owner will be given a discount voucher to buy a new one.
