IN the presence of greatness, and after sitting for two hours on one of the smallest seats ever -- with an aching behind and cramped legs -- I saw Peter Kay live on stage.

This was at the London Palace Theatre on Sunday night and my numb bum was worth it as he reeled off brilliant gag after gag.

Now, I don't want to ruin it for any of you who are going to watch Peter Kay on his gargantuan tour -- I'm sure you all are -- but I just have to say this: everyone who's ever been to a family wedding will all have an Uncle ****head!

For those of you who've already seen one of his shows, you'll know what I mean.

And, keeping on a northern tip I'd just like to say "hello and happy birthday" to my best mate, Luke, who's just celebrated his 30th birthday. We all celebrated last weekend and I think it's the first time Leigh RMI club had a full-on rave in its function room.

Back in London, I'm still doing the voice-over for the TV programme, Model Behaviour. Attitudes and personalities are certainly beginning to clash as the contestant get nearer to finding out who's won.

I'm pretty certain they're all having a good time of it though -- they like a good night out like the rest of us.

I went to watch the recording of Jools Holland on Tuesday night -- it should be on telly in a couple of weeks.

Richard Ashcroft was on -- that's basically why I went, I think I'm his official stalker. I managed a quick chat with him after he played a brilliant set.

Craig David, Tracy Chapman and The Streets (fantastic) were also on the show.

That's about all for now. I won't be around next week -- I'm practising switching my living room lights on, ready for my big night in Bolton later this month -- so I'll see you in two weeks.

PS: Come on The Whites, buck your ideas up!
