MANY thanks for printing my letter with regards to the purchase of Peter Kay tickets at a fair price.

I think that Daniel Nightingale has misunderstood me. I certainly did not wish to appear to be criticising Peter Kay in any way -- more the so-called fans who are nothing short of ticket touts, buying more than they need in order to line their own pockets.

I fully agree with Mr Roberts that Peter Kay is an absolute diamond and I would love the chance to see him in person. But, as I stated in my previous letter, I am not prepared to buy tickets at inflated prices from those who did manage to get through to the ticket-line.

As you may recall, I had been offered two tickets for the April 1 performance in Bolton but, at a cost of £40 per ticket. I thought that was bad until another work colleague offered five tickets for December 11 at the Lowry. Good job I was sitting down when she contacted me and advised me that the price would be £450 for all five tickets -- £90 per ticket! (she said that was the going rate!). I again politely refused.

Peter, I would love to see you and help your mum towards her bungalow -- but at that price, as you might say, "it's not happening!
