THIS picture from 1955, shows a group from the Wagon and Horses pub in Kearsley, outside the Houses of Parliament as guests of their local MP George Tomlinson.
They did not go to London simply for that invitation, though -- they were really there to attend the England-Scotland match at Wembley.
Mr Harry Mahon, of Holcombe Crescent, Kearsley, who has sent me the photograph, says that he was also on the trip - but he was only 22 at the time.
