THE Bolton Evening News has reported that the costs needed to repair leisure centres will be excessive and, therefore, private investment will be required if these repairs are to be carried out.

I wonder if, say, Horwich and Farnworth public baths will also need a private financial input in order to keep them viable in the future. If this is so, then maybe we should be told now.

The quick closure of The Water Place was a surprise and, sadly, there does not seem to be any apology and, for many, this was a sad affair.
