DETECTIVES in Wigan have warned parents to be vigilant following reports of a bogus health visitor.
Police were called to Longfellow Close in Worsley Mesnes yesterday morning after a woman called claiming to be a health visitor. She had no identification and was turned away.
Det Con Lesley Connor, of Wigan CID, said: "Genuine callers will be happy to provide official identification."
