THE Meningitis Trust would like to take this opportunity to thank readers in the North-west for helping FOCUS (DIY) stores raise more than £30,000 towards the fight against meningitis.
FOCUS (DIY) stores throughout the region held family fun-days in September that were fabulously supported and, thanks to some excellent weather, proved a great success.
The money raised will go towards fighting the disease parents fear most, by funding research into life-saving vaccines, raising awareness of the symptoms and giving support to the thousands of families affected every year.
It is only with the continued support of the public and companies such as FOCUS (DIY), that we will remove the threat of meningitis in England.
