FOR over 30 years Mog has been enthralling children -- and adults too -- with her mischievous antics.
The cat has become loved by many and Mog's stories have always hit the highest standards. In my opinion this is Kerr's best. Sadly it's time for Mog to go: "Mog is tired. She's dead tired . . . she think 'I want to sleep for ever. And so she did, But a little bit of her stayed awake to see what happened next..."
Introducing young children to the fact that nobody lives forever is done in a sympathetic and hugely affectionate way. The two Thomas children go through all the emotions following death -- sorrow, grief then joyous memories.
A clever book that ends up being totally life-affirming.
