MONDAY: AN own goal by Phil Babb ten minutes from time rescues a point for Wanderers in the clash of the Premiership's bottom two at the Reebok.

Michael Gray put Sunderland ahead with a blistering 25-drive and while the football was instantly forgettable the point could prove vital.

TUESDAY

WANDERERS were reeling from the double blow of losing veterans Gudni Bergsson and Paul Warhurst for up to a month. Bergsson said he was confident his teammates would lift themselves off the bottom of the Premiership in his absence.

WEDNESDAY

REEBOK officials say they will announce within 36 hours their decision on the future of Stig Tofting and to whether he will play in the Premiership again.

THURSDAY

JUSSI Jaaskelainen says Jay Jay Okocha can make as big an impact for Wanderers in the Premiership as Youri Djorkaeff has done. Stig Tofting is told by Wanderers that he can continue playing for them until the end of the season when his contract will be terminated a year early.

FRIDAY

SAM Allardyce says that there is a place for Stig Tofting in his squad and that when he gets the chance he must take it. The Whites' boss says he wants Tofting to reproduce the form he displayed for Denmark in the early rounds of the World Cup. Tofting's agent Carsten Aarbrink said the Dane would give 100 per cent effort for Wanderers' cause.

SATURDAY

THE new transfer system is hampering Wanderers' plans admitted Allardyce, who said that he is struggling to come to terms with the new format. Young striker Delroy Facey is over his mystery virus but is still a long way off challenging for a first team spot. Keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen says clean sheets are the key to his side's Premiership survival.
