SAM is obviously right to highlight the stresses and strains of Premiership management in the article: "It's tough in the hot seat".

However, he should consider what it is like to be a supporter of a club that sets its sights at best on survival.

In what is regarded as one of the toughest leagues in the world we continue to beg, steal and borrow players who are either at the end of their careers or who have known injury problems.

Supporters attend the Reebok not expecting, but hoping, to see their team win.

We continue to have the club's financial plight shoved down our throats and always wonder what is happening to the £20 million-plus that is generated by being in the Premiership.

In contrast, even the likes of West Brom and Birmingham are giving it a go with the acquisition of some quality players. In my opinion these clubs have not gone overboard and put their future in jeopardy, but at least have justified the existence of the extra Premiership revenue by investing £5-£10 million each.

Sam states "everbody is already saying we must win and it's only the third game!"

I am sure Sam has seen our impending fixtures, with Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal on the way, and I am wondering whether we will have any points by the end of September!!

As a supporter I am already feeling the strain!!
