MAJOR traffic problems were caused today after a fire broke out at a garage near a motorway.
The fire, at a garage on Wellington Road, Eccles, was quickly brought under control this morning, but an oxy-acetylene cylinder inside the premises was expected to take 24 hours to cool down.
As a result, the M602 between Regent Road and its junction with the M60 is expected to be closed in both directions for most of the day.
