FIREMEN were called to rescue a teenager stranded 20ft up a tree. The 13-year-old had been playing with pals in Bank Lane, Little Hulton.
Although his friends managed to climb down the tree, he became stuck for about 20 minutes last night. Firefighters used a ladder to help the boy climb down.
A fire service spokesman said: "It was quite a large tree that looked good for climbing, but unfortunately this lad became stuck and had to be freed."
