FIREFIGHTERS from Farnworth turned out to what they thought was a house fire late last night -- and found a man burning rubbish in his garden.
They arrived at an address in Tyldesley after worried neighbours saw a plume of smoke just after midnight. A crew from Atherton turned up as well.
The occupier of the house had started burning rubbish just after 12.30am. He was advised to wait until daylight to continue burning the rubbish.
