THE new research that claims that Ecstasy may not be dangerous is deeply insulting to the parents of youngsters who have died from the drug.

Researchers at Liverpool University and an American professor claim the adverse effects of Ecstasy could be imaginary. They say the belief that the drug causes long-term harm has come about through flawed research.

It does not take a doctorate to appreciate that drugs on the street vary dramatically in quality and safety. Nor is there the safety net of medical advice and monitoring.

Perhaps the researchers would care to back their claims with a little personal experimentation before their utterings cause real damage among the gullible young.
