A PEDESTRIAN aged 58 is fighting for his life in hospital today after being struck by a Ford Transit van in Worsley Hall, Wigan last night. The man from Pemberton collided with the van, driven by a 44-year-old man from Goose Green, at 7.35pm on Ellesmere Road.
He suffered injuries to his head, ribs, stomach and right arm.
His condition at Wigan Royal Infirmary was today described as serious. Police are appealing for witnesses.
