RESIDENTS in a district of Bolton are protesting at the arrival of vice girls in their area. They say a police operation against prostitution in the town's red light area has simply moved the girls on -- and that Great Lever is now having to face the problem. Vice girls are now reported to be operating in Rishton Lane and Lever Street -- about a mile from the traditional red light area around Shiffnall Street, near the town centre.
The news follows the results of a survey carried out in the The Haulgh area of Bolton by the area's Community Partnership which recorded that some vice girls had moved on from that district, too.
