SHOPPERS at a supermarket think they are going off their trolleys after seeing double doubles.

Twin sisters and sales assistants Samantha and Sally Houghton are confusing customers who think they look like famous actresses Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

The celebrities are selling their own range of clothing through Asda and have their posters pinned up at the company's stores.

Shoppers walking around the supermarket at Middlebrook, Horwich, see the Houghton twins working down the aisles and think they are bumping into the millionaires.

Samantha and Sally, aged 18, look so similar to the Olsen girls they have even confused their mother.

Samantha said: "My mum said she had to do a double take when she walked into the store as there was a big picture of them near the entrance. She really did think it was us.

"When the campaign first started we had to wear badges with the girls on and people thought it was our picture on them."

The twins, of Chorley Road, Westhoughton, have had part-time jobs at the store for nearly two years.

The sisters are very close and have always done everything together, from being dressed the same as children, to studying the same Travel and Tourism course at Wigan and Leigh College.

Once, when they headed out on separate shopping trips, they came home with exactly the same outfits. Sally said: "When we go out together now we sometimes dress the same. And if the range of Mary-Kate and Ashley clothes was made bigger than age 13, we would probably wear them too."

Although they look alike, Samantha and Sally have their own individual personalities -- Samantha is quite loud and enjoys going out to the pub, while Sally is happier having a quiet night in.

Mary-Kate and Ashley have been in the public eye since they were just nine months old -- both playing the part of Michelle Tanner in American sit-com Full House.

On turning 18 they will become the managing directors of their production company Dualstar, worth £260 million.
