A MAN aged 29 has been arrested by police investigating the murder of a pensioner who was stabbed to death as he took a walk before bedtime.
The body of Dennis Cottrill, 71, a retired refuse collector, was found by two police special officers in Ashton-under-Lyne shortly after midnight on Tuesday. A post-mortem examination showed he died from stab wounds to the chest.
