DO you have a nose for news, a flair for photography or are you a dab hand at design?

If so, we want to hear from you! The BEN's youth newspaper -- the Millennium Teenage Paper -- is looking for new recruits.

We want to hear from any 13 to 18-year-olds, living in the Bolton area, who are interested in all aspects of newspaper production, including writing, photography, design and advertising.

And we need our young news team to help inform other local young people about what's happening in the town.

The group will meet on Mondays between 5pm and 6.30pm at Turton High School Media Arts College, where they will have use of the fantastic new facilities on offer there.

The project, part-funded by Bolton Youth Service, was launched in 1999 -- and now it is your chance to get involved.

If you want to be part of MTP, all you have to do is send a letter telling us why you are interested in joining the news team and what you think a youth newspaper should contain.

If you would rather get involved with photography, why not send a photograph you have taken and tell us what you like about it in no more than 100 words.

And if design is your thing, send us a piece of design or artwork -- this may have been part of a school project or done in your own time.

Send your work with your full name, address and telephone number to: Alison Barton, Millennium Teenage Paper, Bolton Evening News, Newspaper House, Churchgate, Bolton, BL1 1DE. All entries must be received before Monday, March 25.

Successful applicants will be contacted before Tuesday, April 2, with the first meeting at Turton High School Media Arts College on Monday, April 8.
