Wanderers need a lucky break.
There are only nine matches remaining for Bolton to keep out of the drop zone but the last two games have not gone their way.
When you are down and struggling it is vital the lucky breaks fall your way. That can be the catalyst for a change of fortunes. A lucky goal here or there and Wanderers could be feeling much happier by now.
There are still 27 points up for grabs and to right off Wanderers at this stage would be folly. But we do need Michael Ricketts to recapture his 'goalden touch' while Youri Djorkaeff has shown enough in three games to suggest that he could just provide Sam and his boys with the extra ingredient to keep them in the Premiership. Let's hope so.
